That moment when it seems like problems are meeting you at your door step, everything seems to be going wrong and there are issues flying straight at you coming from left to right. You go to get in your car and there’s a boot on it from past due tickets that you totally forgot about; so you suck it up and catch the bus which just happens to be super packed so you have to stand up in your heels and hold all your bags. Seeing that you have some time to spare you get off at your favorite cafe to get your morning breakfast and it’s not until you’ve reached your desk that you realize they gave you the wrong meal. After taking a breather and accepting the issues of the morning, your boss calls you into the office to say that you have 5 minutes to prepare for a presentation that in actuality needs at least a weeks preparation, oh and lets just add the fact that your promotion is based on the results of this presentation. Rushing back to your desk you accidentally bump into the office clerk whom just filled up her cup of coffee, so now instead of Folders being in her cup, it’s on you!…..AHHH!!!
Every day there’s some type of issue rather it big or small, some type of test that we are faced with, that’s no doubt…but the question is, how will you handle it? Will you press through the affliction and continue to worship and praise God no matter what the circumstances may look like or will you be taken in by the situation. God is and always will be the center of our joy, NO ONE has the authority to take that from us, we in turn allow them to. We have to learn that it is in our afflictions that we grow. We learn discipline and obedience. As it reads in Psalm 119:71 “It is good for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes.” And in those times when you don’t quite understand the meaning of what you’re going through, hold on to Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding”. We do not know the ways of The Lord nor the reasons behind his actions, so we have to trust in the fact that he has our best interest at heart and continue to press forward through the affliction. –BiancaLynnette
I don’t know what you choose to do….but I choose to worship!!
