Hey there Lyfechat luvs!! As promised I have a nice little line-up for you Mon-Friday which will be bringing you a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Soooo with that being said, today (Wednesday) is “Whaddaya Know Wednesday”. Every Wednesday I will bring you some interesting facts on how to love yourself, care for yourself and a few health facts (which fall into those categories as well). So today’s Fun Fact is based on our beautiful skin…
Did you know:
Exercise increases blood flow of nutrients and water to the skin surface and makes collagen thicker? Yes it does, so that good ole 20 minute workout you’re investing in daily to keep that body nice and toned is also helping out your beautiful skin!
According to a skin & beauty expert, “Exercise has an overall revitalising effect. Regular exercise also means improved blood circulation to the extremities — the fingers, fingernails, toes and toe nails. In fact, exercise benefits the body as a whole, because it improves the strength of the circulatory and respiratory system, which also means improved oxygenation.”
Regular exercise is also good for your hair, your natural glow and it helps to lift wrinkles!
Hair: It helps to promote blood circulation to the scalp and hair follicles. This eases the supply of nutrients in the blood stream to the hair follicles.
Natural Glow: Exercise helps to supply essential nutrients to the skin. Aerobic exercise makes you sweat and promotes the removal of toxins through perspiration. Working out tones the skin improves blood circulation and oxygenation to the skin and so imparts a healthy glow.
Wrinkle Lift: Exercise supports the production of collagen, a protein that is the support structure of our skin. Also, you can correct hormonal imbalances that lead to acne. Exercising relieves stress and lowers cortical levels in the blood, therefore, eliminating the over production of sebum, which can lead to blocked pores!
So there you have it ladies!! Exercising is a hidden beauty fact that brings results all over the body! Even down to those few classes of zumba; anything that gets your blood circulating and allows you to release those sweat glands is in turn cleaning out pores and removing dead skin cells, oils, and chemicals, which build up over time. So like they say…No Pain…No Gain!! #TeamExercise!!
