Message for Today: Do you need a REFILL?

When you first make the decision to give your life to the Lord it was the best feeling in the world. The sun seems to shine brighter and the things of the world just didn’t seem to really matter. You’ve found your place in the Kingdom and you feel great. You find yourself singing more often than normal, picking sunflowers and putting them in your hair, blessing people every chance you get and you become the best Samaritan you’ve ever met. Lol then something happens…You get comfortable.  You get routine with your praise, you get routine with your prayer, you get routine with your conversation with God.  Now there is nothing wrong with having a routine relationship with God, by all means any relationship with God is wonderful; it’s when you get so laxed with your relationship that it becomes a duty and no longer praise. You go to church and you know exactly when to lift your hands and stomp your feet. When the choir comes on with your favorite song you’re ready to jump up and sing yet you’re more focused on your pitch than your purpose.  You may have found yourself in the “comfort” of being a Christian where you feel like it’s a fashion versus a lifestyle.  Sounds like to me you need a REFILL!! Sometimes we come to points in our walk where we get used to doing things and we lose the significance of it.  In the beginning you couldn’t make it through a gospel song without closing your eyes, shedding a tear and reaching for God’s hand; now you’re just going through the motions. Know that there is no such thing as enough of God, you can never be totally full of his love there’s always room for more! Get your refill and pray for the Holy Spirit to touch your heart and renew your passion for God. Two things he promises; he will never LEAVE YOU nor FORSAKE you….he is such a patient God…Get Your Refill!-Bianca Lynnette

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
